Long Form - Lao Jia - Old Frame
The Lao Jia is the first form of
Chen style Tai Chi. It is the foundation training style that prepares
students for the second form, Pao Chui.
Lao Jia develops, strength, whole body unity, the
basic flavor of Chen Style, and chan si jin (silk
reeling energy). At this level of training, movement is primarily slow
and soft, with an emphasis on relaxation; although
some fa jin (power issuing) is also
included.
